APOSTATE/FALSE CHURCH MOVEMENTS

BUZZ WORDS, FALSE TEACHERS & BOOKS

All of these advocate and preach a changing church with new worship, new terminology, new healing, and new prayer.

APOSTATE CHURCH MOVEMENTS: This is a partial list as more trash is coming out constantly.

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE * DOMINIONISM * EMERGENT * INTERNATIONAL COALITION OF APOSTLES * JOEL’S ARMY * KANSAS CITY PROPHETS * KINGDOM NOW * LATTER RAIN * MANIFEST SONS * NATIONAL COUNCIL OF CHURCHES * NEW APOSTOLIC REFORMATION * RESTORATION * ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH * THIRD WAVE * VINYARD * WORD OF FAITH * WORLD COUNCIL OF CHURCHES * AND OTHERS …

BUZZ WORDS:  When heard, these words used in the context of religion, faith-based subjects or Christianity should perk your ears to the great possibility that the subject is not the truth of the Bible.  All of these and more are taught and used by the leaders / teachers of the main false “Christian” movements named above.

Ancient Wisdom * Change Agent * Community * Contemplative Praying * Cultural Christianity * Desert Fathers * Ecumenism * Experientialism * Impartation * Labyrinth Walking * Lectio Devina * Modern Dream Interpretation * Neo/New Paganism * New Paradigm * New Reformation * New/Special Anointing * New Spirituality * Spiritism * Synergy * Transformation * Vintage Christianity

False Teachers, Heretics and Liars: Only a partial list of those known. Some Christians whether they be professing (claiming, but not knowledgeable or walking in the ways of Christ) or naïve, may attend a good Bible believing and teaching church but then go home and turn on the TV Preachers and because they do not study the word for themselves will not see any difference in the two preachers. Therefore, we are making a partial list of those known. Many false teachers crossover from one movement to another though some do not.

John Avanzini, George Barna, Rob Bell, Mike Bickle, Ken Blanchard, Rodney Howard Brown, Juanita Bynum

Rick Godwin, Ted Haggard, Bill Hamon, Willis Harmon, Benny Hinn, Bill and Lynn Hybels

FALSE BOOKS: One must be very careful in selecting a book even in selecting a Bible.  It helps to read and know who the endorsers are, but not even that insures that the contents are biblical.  Not all Bible translations are created equal.

Born in Zion by Carol Balizet – this teaches that there is a doctrine of Entire Sanctification

The Shack by William P. Young – this was endorsed by a minister from a fairly solid Christian movement and yet the book is blasphemous and should only be used for fire kindling.

Have Heart: Bridging the Gulf Between Heaven and Earth by Steve & Sarah Berger – This is about visions and talking to the dead.  The Bible tells us expressly not to talk to the dead (Lev. 19:31, Deut. 18:11, Is. 8:19, 1Tim.4:1).  Any book which is written to give an account of an individual’s “trip to Heaven” is also not biblical.  If you cannot verify experiences with the Word of God, it is NOT biblical and should not be given any credence.  This book also was endorsed by 2 other well-known ministers who come from that same Christian movement.  They are endorsing a book which encourages what the Bible says not to do.  Be especially aware of the rank heresies on pages 69, 71,76, 82, 95, 99-100,102-104,110,115,118 and 125.

Jesus Calling by Sarah Young -- is a fictitious account ascribing and using unbiblical ideas which leads people into deception through a fake Jesus who does not and cannot save. For a  well researched, in-depth reference see:  Another Jesus Calling by Warren Smith.

The Message by Eugene Peterson – Although this book is marketed and believed to be a translation of the Bible, that in itself is a lie.  This book is a paraphrase a perversion and reflects only the opinions of what the Bible says by the author.  For further information regarding the major areas where this book goes against the Word, search the web for The Message Bible: A Mystic Mess

“If we say we have no sin [refusing to admit that we are sinners], we delude and lead ourselves astray, and the Truth [which the Gospel presents] is not in us [does not dwell in our hearts].

(I John 1:8 Amplified Translation)

“Whoever says, I know Him [I perceive, recognize, understand, and am acquainted with Him] but fails to keep and obey His commandments (teachings) is a liar, and the Truth [of the Gospel] is not in him. But he who keeps (treasures) His Word [who bears in mind His precepts, who observes His message in its entirety], truly in him has the love of and for God been perfected (completed, reached maturity).  By this we may perceive (know, recognize, and be sure) that we are in Him:

(I John 2:4, 5 Amplified Translation)
